Chrisean Rock Under Fire for Not Supporting Newborn Baby’s Neck in Viral Walmart Video
Chrisean Rock found herself in the eye of a social media storm recently following a viral video that captured her not adequately supporting her newborn baby's head while shopping at Walmart. The child, named Chrisean Jesus Malone, was also noted to be improperly strapped into a harness, leading to a visibly uncomfortable position for the baby.
In an Instagram Live session on Friday (Sept. 22), Rock opened up about the controversy, admitting that it was a mistake not to properly support her baby’s head. Feeling overwhelmed, she criticized the fact that the person filming the video chose to capture the moment rather than offering help.
"I'm trying to juggle a lot. I have two full carts, my dog, and my baby. It would have been nice if someone offered to help instead of just recording to make a spectacle out of me because I'm famous," Rock said during the session. She also touched upon her partner Blueface's busy schedule, expressing that she often takes on extra responsibilities to accommodate him.

Blueface, who is also the father of the child, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) a day earlier to acknowledge the situation. He echoed the public sentiment by saying, "Trust me I'm just as surprised as y'all."
Adding to the mix was a response from Blueface's mother, Karlissa Saffold, who expressed her own displeasure over the incident. During her own Instagram Live, Saffold didn't hold back, criticizing Rock for not properly supporting her grandchild's head. "My baby's in the store, looking like he's doing gymnastics, and that's not okay," she said.
The incident has certainly fueled a lot of public opinion, but it also highlights the pressures and scrutiny public figures often face, especially when it comes to parenting. With Rock admitting her mistake and expressing a desire to learn, this is only the latest in a series of ongoing dramatic viral moments involving Chrisean, Blueface, and their son.
