LAFAYETTE, La. (KMDL-FM) - It's October. Yay! We're starting to see ever-so-slightly cooler weather, pumpkin spice is everywhere you turn, and fall festivities are in full swing.

So, naturally, we should start thinking about Christmas. Hey, don't get side-eyed with us, blame Hobby Lobby.

We took to social media to get to the bottom of it. Or, at least get your take on this not really controversial topic. (But it's fun to "pretend argue" about it.)

Other Dates to Put Up Christmas Trees in Louisiana

In hindsight, we should have thrown in a couple of other options. Some people commented things like "After Halloween" or "Whenever I feel like it."

At any rate, out of the four options above, which do you think got the most votes?

Survey Says...

Yeah, you probably guessed right, it was Thanksgiving weekend. Below is the breakdown of votes as to when you think the Christmas tree should go up:

  1. Thanksgiving Weekend - 60%
  2. November 1st - 28%
  3. in December - 7%
  4. Christmas Eve - 5%

Who waits until Christmas Eve to put up a tree? That seems to only happen in the movies. (Wasn't that the case in "Christmas Vacation?")

Okay, enough of this discussion, we have an artificial tree to go grab out of the attic...
