If you've spent enough time online, chances are you've seen a video of a wrestler breaking down some crazy math to prove he'll win his next match. That viral moment - known to wrestling fans as the "Steiner Math promo" - was delivered with full intensity by pro wrestling icon Scott Steiner. This August at Geek'd Con in Shreveport, you'll have a chance to meet the man himself, known to some as "Big Poppa Pump."

Find out if the math really added up, where the Steiner legacy is today, and find out when he'll be in Shreveport down below.

The Viral 'Steiner Math' Promo That Broke the Internet

On a regular 2008 episode of Total Nonstop Action's weekly wrestling Show Impact, Scott Steiner was scheduled for a backstage interview about his upcoming 3-way match at the next big show, and the words that came from his mouth forever became eternized in the halls of internet fame.

Quotes that sound like nonsense math became hilarious inside jokes for friends both inside and outside the wrestling fandom, "Take my 75 percent chance of winning, if we were to go one-on-one, but then take my 66 and 2/3rds percents, I got a 141 and 2/3rds chance of winning at Sacrifice!"

Scott Steiner's Legacy: Math, Memes, and Wrestling

Over a decade since the famous promo, fans still remember it fondly, and the "Genetic Freak" is happy that fans have such a fond memory of such a wild monologue. In an interview with Chris Van Vilet in 2025, Stiener talked about how he came up with the promo, being an educated mathematician with a degree from the University of Michigan.

According to Steiner, a Harvard professor said online that he double checked the math on Steiner's chances of winning, and they surprisingly checked out. Even though his math was double-checked by an Ivy League educator, Steiner did not actually win that match at Sacrifice.

Scott Steiner will be at Geek'd Con in Shreveport for the conventions10th year show. The convention starts on Friday, August 22nd, and tickets are on sale now. Get tickets and find more details on guests at geekdcon.com
