Shreveport Volunteers Needed to Make Festival a Success

The Red River Revel Has Officially Taken Over Festival Plaza Downtown.

Shreveport's Red River Revel Arts Festival brings you the best live music from national and regional acts annually. Did you know Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport was built just for the Revel?

Like many people in the Ark-La-Tex, I can't wait for the amazing concerts that will take over Downtown Shreveport at Festival Plaza. Red River Revel has brought in new ideas and they have even created unique date nights like the Paint Your Partner Night on Thursday, October 3rd.

If you have been to Red River Revel you have probably seen several volunteers making it happen every year. If you have ever considered volunteering this would be the year to help. The Executive Director of Red River, Logan Lewis took to Red River Revel's Facebook page to ask for the communities help.

"I have had more people than ever tell me how excited they are for #Revel48 this year and I'm right there with them!! But friends, I must ask for your help. We are in very dire need of our community down here at Festival Plaza. As of this posting, there is only ONE person signed up to sell coupons for the first shift at the festival tomorrow. Just one! It is really stressful to our team because if there are no volunteers to sell coupons then no one is having fun at the festival this year, and considering the amount of work our team has put into this event that would be terribly depressing.

I'm desperate and asking for everyone who loves this City and loves this festival to consider donating 3-4 hours of your time to get a free t-shirt, free admission, and see everyone you know while doing it. WE NEED YOU! And you know I can say this from lots of experience: if you give a little of your time you will be rewarded mentally and emotionally more than you can possibly imagine.
