Shreveport Shrimp Lovers Turned New Special into Competition

Chugwagon Crawfish Has Been Known for Slinging Crawfish.

Since the food trailer decided to get a brick-and-mortar location they have been open year-round now and have been experimenting with different meal options. The Cajun eatery serves boiled crawfish when in season, Gulf shrimp oysters, Po'boys, USDA farm-raised catfish, and more. They have been getting creative with thier specials.

One special has been quickly turned into a food-eating competition because we just don't know how to act when we hear "all you can eat". Chuckwagon Crawfish took to their Facebook page on a Thursday morning to say "Today is the day! Current record 47 shrimp...who will break the record?" They were talking about their "All You Can Eat Shrimp & Potatoes" special that they run every single Thursday. It will run you $24.99 per person and it is dine-in only, with no to-go options on this, and no sharing. The rules seem simple, right?

We are all baffled at how many Shreveport residents have shown up with one mission, to eat all the shrimp.

As of Thursday, October 10th, there is a new shrimp-eating record. "We have a new record at 72 shrimp For all you can eat Thursdays!!! Jeremee Williams is the current record holder...congrats I know it wasn't easy! Honorable mention to Rachel Garcia with 50 shrimp and Ben McDuff with 65 shrimp."

Why does Jeremee Williams look so guilty in this picture? We just want to know how miserable this man felt after he finished all 72 shrimp. Did he prepare for this moment? How many meals did he skip to be able to down 72 shrimp?
