Fan-Favorite Marvel Artist Roland Paris Returns to Geek’d Con 2025

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, returns to Downtown Shreveport this August. The 10th Anniversary of Geek'd Con will be held at the Shreveport Convention Center, August 22nd-24th, 2025. The event is an amazing weekend where you can create once-in-a-lifetime moments with your favorite celebrities, shop from hundreds of vendor booths, and spend time with your friends & family.

Get ready to celebrate because one of our absolute favorites is coming back to Geek'd Con this year! The incredibly talented, Louisiana-based comic book artist, Roland Paris, will be coming to Shreveport again.

It feels like just yesterday he joined us for the second-ever Geek'd Con back in 2016, and honestly...it just wouldn't feel right without him. Roland's been with us every single year since, building such a cool, strong bond with all of you in the community. Having a homegrown talent like Roland is something we're really proud of, highlighting the amazing creators right here in Louisiana has always been a huge goal for Geek'd Con, and Roland is just the perfect fit!

Decades of Comic Expertise

Roland's not just a local hero, though; he's a genuine comic book veteran with over 25 years in the biz! He honed his skills at the awesome Ringling School of Art and Design and even spent time inking for the mighty Marvel Entertainment. Think about that, he's put his touch on titles like Amazing Spider-Man, Dark X-Men: The Confession, Uncanny X-Force, and Ms. Marvel, plus tons more iconic books!

Comic Book Artwork You Know and Love

You've definitely seen his art, maybe without even realizing it! Roland's incredible work has graced the covers and pages of some of the biggest names in comics. He's done cover art for massive characters like Spider-Man and The Avengers, and even that essential guide, the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe. And his art is inside so many books you love, like Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Spider-Girl, X-Men, Black Panther, and Daredevil, seriously, the list goes on and on...

What Other Guests Are Coming to Geek'd Con 2025?

You can meet award winning actor Jason Lee, along with his Mallrats costars Ethan Suplee and Jeremy London. Terrifier stars David Howard Thornton and Samantha Scaffidi will also be appearing.

This year's guest lineup already includes a 35th Anniversary "Shell-a-Bration" for the release of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Including voice actors Brian Tochi (Leonardo), Robbie Rist (Michalangelo), and martial artists Ernie Reyes, Jr. (Donatello) and Kenn Scott (Raphael). The four Turtles actors will be joined by Francois Chau, who portrayed The Shredder in the TMNT film universe as well.
