Another Batch of Comic Book Creators Announced for Geek’d Con 2025
Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, returns to Downtown Shreveport this August. The 10th Anniversary of Geek'd Con will be held at the Shreveport Convention Center, August 22nd-24th, 2025.
This year's guest lineup already includes a 35th Anniversary "Shell-a-Bration" for the release of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Including voice actors Brian Tochi (Leonardo), Robbie Rist (Michalangelo), and martial artists Ernie Reyes, Jr. (Donatello) and Kenn Scott (Raphael). The four Turtles actors will be joined by Francois Chau, who portrayed The Shredder in the TMNT film universe as well.
But its not just the stars from the big screen and little screen. The stars that put those characters on the pages of our favorite comics will also be coming to Geek'd Con.
One of those comic book guests is Jason Turner!
Jason Turner is a comic book artist who has had his work featured on multiple covers over the years. His covers have been seen on titles like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Alpha, Archie Comics Judgement Day, and the hot new Image Comics title Feral.
Turner has been creating a legion of fans around the country with his vibrant style and boundaryless scope. Fans have been gobbling up artwork from Turner that includes characters of all genres, from horror to anime, with Turner's bright and bold style. Which can add depths of colors to characters that normally wouldn't see a style and flair mixed in.
On the side, Turner is a musician. He's released numerous albums and EPs over the years.
Also, making a return to Geek'd Con in 2025 is the dynamic duo behind Insymmetry Creations.
Matt Knowles and Steph Cannon are the creative minds behind Insymmetry Creations. They've made over 130 public appearances (individually or as a pair) on behalf of their brands and IPs. If you've been to the most recent GEEK'D Con events, you'll recognize them as the COSPLAY CONTEST HOSTS as well as the hosts of select GUEST Q&A PANELS.
MATT is also widely known for his emcee and mic work at other conventions (like Florida's SPOOKALA), and STEPH is known for her freelance article writing for sites such as FANGORIA, CREEPY KINGDOM, and more.
They've also been a part of 14 Kickstarter campaigns that have raised nearly $100,000 cumulatively.
You've seen their work in the apocalyptic sci-fi steampunk HEIRS OF ISILDUR, the Far-East fantasy horror I AM QIDO, the medieval fantasy TALES FROM NOCTURNIA, and the all-ages, shenanigan filled MISFITZ CLUBHOUSE.
They also have two metal albums, and multiple other singles available.
You can see all of these comic book creators, and all of the other guests, at Geek'd Con this August.
