Could You Survive a Zombie Apocalypse in Louisiana? Study Says Yes
If the nightmare of a zombie apocalypse became reality, Louisiana might be the place to go for your best chance at survival. A new study ranked the Bayou State as the 10th most likely place in the United States to survive a zombie outbreak, based on factors like the abundance of hunting stores, the number of military bases, and the population density.
Even though it would be utterly terrifying to live through a real-life horror movie, the study reassures that here in Cajun Country, we wouldn't go down without a fight.

Entertainment specialists at CanadaCasino.co collected data from across the country to find out which states would be best prepared if the living dead became a reality, and Louisiana landed as the 10th best state for surviving a real life Night of the Living Dead.
The real reason Louisiana would have a good shot at survival has to do with how dense the population is; really, the advantage is how far apart a lot of our population is. For every square mile in Louisiana, there are 107 people, which earned the state a score of 9.27 out of 10.
Louisiana's population isn't actually that far apart, some parts of the state with more dense populations probably would have a bit of struggle in a zombie situation. But outside of areas like Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette, Shreveport, or Monroe where the population is a bit less dense and a bit more rural, less people means less zombies.
Overall, the study gives Louisiana a score of 4.08 out of 10, which lands the state as the 10th best place in America to survive a zombie apocalypse. That score might seem low but you have to ask how unprepared the other states have to be if a score of 4.08 gets 10th place.
