Do yourself a favor and do an online search for the term "data breach" and click on the News tab. Now, just look at how many articles there are at any given time about a recent hack, leak, or theft of confidential information.

Study of Identity Theft and Fraud

Financial advisory company WalletHub has conducted a study to determine which states, over the course of a year, have been most vulnerable to identity fraud, and to determine which states are most likely at risk to fall victim to fraud.

Analyzing statistics about cases of identity theft, loss of money to identity fraud, and local laws and protections against identity theft and fraud WalletHub ranked all 50 states, and Washington D.C., from safest to most at-risk states. Washington D.C. beat out every state for being the most at risk of falling victim to fraud, Delaware and California follow up behind D.C. How safe is Louisiana?

Louisiana was among the top 15 states least at risk for cases of fraud and identity theft. Louisiana was among the top ten states with the least cases of identity theft, and the top ten among states with the best policies aimed at combating fraud.

Shreveport Charities Come Together For The Best Holiday Decorations

Sam's Town invited charities from around the 318 to participate in the 2024 Wreaths of Hope fundraiser. Each charity got to decorate a 60" wreath that will be on display at Sam's Town. Guests of Sam's Town can vote on their favorite wreath, starting at 8 a.m. November 25th, the three winning charities will receive a prize, with the other charities receiving a participation prize. There will be an awards ceremony at Sam's Town on December 20th at 5 p.m.

These Wreathes of Hope will be on display at Sam's Town until December 26th.
