Here’s What Celebrities Are Charging for Autographs at Geek’d Con in Shreveport
Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, will be back in Downtown Shreveport this August. This will be the 10th Anniversary of the event, and will be held at the Shreveport Convention Center from August 22nd-24th. Over the last 10 years, the event has turned into one of the biggest comic con style events in Louisiana.
You can expect to shop from over 200 vendor spaces, on two floors, filled with comic book retailers, handmade crafts, shirts, collectibles, trading cards, vintage toys, artwork, and much more. Vendors from all over the US, and right here in Shreveport-Bossier, will be on-hand all weekend for fans to buy, sell, and trade.
But it's not just about shopping. There will be a ton of celebrity guests you can meet at the show as well.
What Celebrities Will Be At Geek'd Con 2025?
One of the biggest names coming to Shreveport's comic con this year is Jason Lee.
Jason Lee has so many roles that you might know him from. Shows like My Name is Earl and Memphis Beat, and movies like Mallrats, Dogma, The Incredibles, Alvin & The Chipmunks, Almost Famous, Mumford...well, there's a lot more.
He will actually get to see some co-stars, as there will be a couple of mini-reunions for Jason Lee at Geek'd Con. His My Name is Earl co-star Ethan Suplee will also be in Shreveport; and their co-star from Mallrats, Jeremy London, will also be there.
You can meet the stars of the TV show Charmed as well. Including main cast members Rose McGowan, Holly Marie Combs, Brian Krause, and Dorian Gregory.
This year's guest lineup also includes a 35th Anniversary "Shell-a-Bration" for the release of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Including voice actors Brian Tochi (Leonardo), Robbie Rist (Michalangelo), and martial artists Ernie Reyes, Jr. (Donatello) and Kenn Scott (Raphael). The four Turtles actors will be joined by Francois Chau, who portrayed The Shredder in the TMNT film universe as well.
How Do I Get An Autograph At Geek'd Con?
Having all of these stars at Geek'd Con gives you the ability to get autographs in person, and also your chance to get pictures with those celebrities. Each guest will have their own booth, where you can buy your autographs directly from them. Events like Geek'd Con are the best way to directly support actors, actresses, writers, artists, and other content creators. Unlike buying a movie ticket or comic book, there's not a studio that requires a portion of the payment, 100% of the autograph price goes to the guest.
Each guest sets their own price for autographs and photos, and have all say in what they will sign, and for how much. This means some items might cost more to sign than others...but that also means you can bring your own items.
Guests will have 8x10 photos that they will sign for you, but you can also bring something if you'd like it signed. Movie posters, props, DVDs, trading cards, comic books, action figures, CDs, Funko Pops, championship belts, or whatever you'd like to bring can be signed. But each guest can also refuse to sign an item if it makes them uncomfortable.
Most celebrities are all about taking selfies at their booths, but they also give you the chance to have a Professional Photo taken too. Though some of the guests do not do pictures at their tables, and only do Professional Photo Ops. For cast reunion photos, or in costume photos, you will have to purchase a Professional Photo Op.
