When Will Spirit Halloween Stores Open in Shreveport and Bossier for 2025?

It gets bigger and bigger every year...Halloween might be the second biggest holiday in America now. Playing out like The Nightmare Before Christmas in real life, the race is essentially down to Halloween and Christmas. And Santa better watch out, because Jack Skellington is right on his heels.

In Shreveport and Bossier City, Halloween is following the trend. There's big business in spooky season. By mid-July there were retail stores in the Shreveport-Bossier area that had a Code Orange. For the uninitiated, Code Orange is the term for when Halloween decorations first arrive in stores.

But the big one...the mecca of Halloween stores, is Spirit Halloween.

What Is Spirit Halloween?

Think of Spirit Halloween like the WalMart of Halloween season. They have everything. Costumes, decorations, makeup, yard inflatables (and mechanical decorations), masks, collectibles, clothing, props, fake blood, and pretty much anything else you can think of for spooky season.

But the drawback is that these stores are temporary. They come and go in cities for just a couple of months every year. So fans have to keep an eye out for when and where these iconic retail operations will land in their city.

Where Does Spirit Halloween Open in Shreveport?

According to Spirit Halloween's website, there will be two Shreveport locations for 2025. One will be located in Shrevecity in the former Big Lots store. While the other will be on Youree Drive, next to Dick's Sporting Goods.

The official address for the Shrevecity location is 1293 Shreveport Barksdale Hwy. The official address for the Youree Drive location is 7547 Youree Drive.

Where Does Spirit Halloween Open in Bossier City?

In previous years, Bossier City has seen Spirit Halloween open at the Pierre Bossier Mall, and at the Louisiana Boardwalk. Maybe we will see that again this year, but it doesn't sound like it will be right away.

While Bossier City could probably justify multiple Spirit Halloween stores, and may eventually get two, right now the Spirit Halloween website only lists a single store in Bossier.

The Bossier City Spirit Halloween is set to be located at 3161 East Texas Street, in the former Big Lots store.

When Will Spirit Halloween Open?

Here's the biggest question: when can we expect Spirit Halloween to swing its doors open in Shreveport and Bossier City? Well, there are two answers here.

The official Spirit Halloween websites says that the Shrevecity Spirit Halloween is scheduled to open in August of 2025. So we're pretty close to getting our first taste for 2025.

But, the other two locations aren't as clear. The site says the Youree Drive Spirit Halloween store is 'coming soon'. That's the same answer for the Bossier City Spirit Halloween...it says it will be 'coming soon'.

In previous years, Spirit Halloween has opened in Bossier by the first weekend in September. Some years it looks like the openings were in late August, and others look like it was very early September. Either way, we're not too far out right now.

What Hours Does Spirit Halloween Open?

Traditionally, Spirit Halloween has hours in the ballpark of 9am to 11pm, except on Sundays where they usually close earlier.

Each store will likely set their own hours, but the Shreveport and Bossier locations might end up with the same hours across the board.
