A man stabbed and killed in Shreveport's Allendale neighborhood late Friday, July 26, 2024, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office.

Jemarcus Tarell Johnson, 41, died following an altercation outside a residence in the 1800 block of St. John Street. He was pronounced deceased at the scene at 11:35 p.m.

The slaying, the 41st homicide in Caddo Parish in 2024 and the 38th inside Shreveport proper for the year, remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department.

Mr. Johnson was positively identified through fingerprint comparison.

An autopsy was authorized.
