
Shreveport Police Bust 10 More for Squatting in Highland
SHREVEPORT, LA
The Shreveport Police Department is teaming up with city officials to tackle illegal squatting across the city. After much contention with Caddo Parish Commission member John Paul Young, the city implemented a new ordinance allowing police officers more leeway in their dealings with vagrants and squatters.

With a new city rule in place to address squatting, police recently arrested several people for living in homes without permission.

Officers will keep enforcing the new rule and addressing illegal squatting. Thanks to the community for supporting these efforts to make Shreveport a better place to live.
