Shreveport Woman Arrested for Stabbing Her Sister During Fight

Shreveport Police got a call from Ivy Lane Friday Morning, with reports of a stabbing.

SPD showed up to the house after the domestic call, and learned from witnesses that a verbal fight between two sisters took a violent turn.

During the fight, witnesses say Glenda Stewart stabbed her sister in the arm. The stabbing left her sister with a nasty gash. The sister was treated and released, and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police were able to arrest Stewart after a short de-escalation. Stewart went peacefully with SPD.

"Stewart has been charged with one count of Aggravated Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
