Two Sex Crimes Cases in Shreveport Area – One Suspect on Run
Two local men accused of committing sex crimes on children are facing serious charges.
The Caddo Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit has arrested a north Caddo Parish man on charges involving sex crimes against a juvenile.
Caddo Sheriff Henry Whitehorn, Sr. reports deputies from the patrol division were called to investigate a case of sexual misconduct on June 26. The Special Victims Unit stepped in to question the suspect, 41-year-old Carmello-Reyes. Following a full investigation, Reyes was arrest on one count of molestation of a juvenile and 15 counts of crimes against nature.

This investigation is ongoing. Any other possible victims are urged to contact the Caddo Sheriff's Office.
In a separate case, Shreveport police are on the hunt for a wanted sex offender.
Officers are looking for Kevin Ashley who is a tier 3 sex offender. He's wanted for failure to register as a sex offender.

Ashley's previous offenses require that he register as a sex offender for life. Ashley has already been convicted twice for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
