Shreveport Police have finally caught up with a man who they believe is responsible for several burglaries across the city.

Jerome Williams is accused of burglarizing a business on Hollywood Avenue last month, as well as destroying property. Williams was seen on camera footage cutting wires to the security camera. Detectives later discovered that he also burglarized the same business back in April.

Williams is also the suspect in a theft at a city-owned property on Kings Highway on two separate occasions, late last month and earlier this week. On the occasion earlier this week, Williams is believed to have broken in to a city office building and caused a lot of damage.

Williams has been charged with four counts of simple burglary and one count of criminal property damage after the investigation by the Property Crimes Unit.

From SPD:

"Thanks to the diligent work of the Shreveport Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit, Williams was identified and taken into custody on June 5, 2025. The SPD commends the detectives for their thorough investigation and commitment to holding offenders accountable."
