Violent Home Invasion Leads to Arrest

Shreveport Police officers responded to a dangerous home invasion on June 30, 2025, preventing serious injury. Just after 10:00 p.m., police were called to the 8400 block of David Drive for a disturbance. They discovered that Lawrence Thomas, the ex-boyfriend of a woman living there, had forced his way into the home.

Ex-Boyfriend Breaks In

Upon seeing another man inside the residence, Thomas reportedly kicked in a laundry room door to gain entry. He then allegedly charged at the man with a screwdriver. Fortunately, officers arrived swiftly, taking Thomas into custody at the scene without further incident.

No serious injuries were reported thanks to the quick police response. Thomas faces one charge of home invasion.
