Shreveport Police Arrest Two for Illegal Firearm Possession
The Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) successfully confiscated additional illegal firearms, furthering SPD’s ongoing commitment to enhancing public safety and reducing gun violence in our community.
On October 28, 2024, at approximately 2:30 p.m., VCAT officers acted on information regarding individuals illegally possessing firearms at Stone Vista Apartments, located at 541 E. Stoner Ave., Shreveport, Louisiana.
During the investigation, VCAT officers identified and approached 23-year-old Reginald Alexander, who was found standing in front of an apartment unit. Officers discovered a firearm concealed beneath Alexander’s arm. Following further investigation, officers determined that Alexander, a convicted felon currently on probation for aggravated assault with a firearm, was illegally in possession of the weapon. He was subsequently arrested for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
While on the scene, VCAT members also questioned a nearby apartment occupant, 17-year-old Corodelro Robinson. Robinson was found to be in possession of a firearm, despite being legally prohibited from owning one due to his age. He was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor. A booking photo of Robinson is not available at this time.
The Shreveport Police Department remains steadfast in its mission to remove firearms from individuals prohibited by law from possessing them. This operation is part of SPD’s broader strategy to create safer communities for all residents.
