Shreveport Parkway Shootout Leaves Two Dead, One Wounded
It's a common occurrence in many Shreveport neighborhoods these days. Shots ringing out. When you hear them, you probably pray that no one is hurt. I'm pretty close to what happened in the city Wednesday night. I didn't hear the shots. But many of my neighbors say they heard a long string of shots during this latest incident.
That was not the case in east Shreveport on Wednesday night. There was a deadly shooting on Shreveport's Clyde Fant Parkway that left two people dead and another seriously wounded.
What Happened in the Clyde Fant Fatal Shooting
The gunfire erupted as two cars were headed north on the Parkway near the Preston Street exit just before 7 last night. A driver in one of the cars opened fire on the other car. That second car ran off the parkway and came to a stop.
Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third person, who suffered several gunshot wounds, was rushed to the Ochsner LSU Health trauma center. There is no word yet on that victim's condition.
Do Police Have Any Suspects Yet
Police are on the hunt for the suspects in this deadly violent crime. Police closed off the Clyde Fant Parkway for several hours while they were conducting their investigation.
Police are urging anyone with details about the shooting to contact the department directly to assist with the case.
