Shreveport Man Found Guilty of Molesting a Child Under 13
A Caddo Jury took just over 2 hours to convict a man for molesting a young girl back in 2023.
Back in October 2023, 35 year-old Travis June walked in to the room of a 10 year-old relative at night. June had his pants down and committed lewd act. June then offered the child $5 to not tell anyone about what happened. Just a month later, the child told a relative about what June had done.
The relative of the child told Shreveport Police, and June was arrested. The child and the child's relative both took the stand to testify in court with the help of representatives of the Gingerbread House and Police Officers.
The Jurors also heard in testimony that June was a suspect in three other sexual assault cases, and had a previous felony conviction for domestic abuse with child endangerment.
The jury found June guilty of attempted molestation of a juvenile under age 13.
From Caddo District Court:
"When June return to Judge Emanuel’s court for sentencing May 15, 2025, he faces a sentence of up to 49 years at hard labor."
