21 year-old Lloyd Tremaine Cooks, back in 2022, met 31 year-old Jeremy Wyatt at a gas station to buy marijuana. Before the deal could go down, Cooks got out of his car and fired over two-dozen shots in to Wyatt's car with two guns. Several of the bullets hit Wyatt, killing him.

The passenger from Wyatt's car at the time of the shooting testified in court, as well as responding SPD Detectives. A forensic pathologist told the jury that Wyatt died from multiple gunshot wounds from a pistol and a rifle. Cooks admitted to Officers at the time of his arrest that he arranged the drug-deal, and approaching Wyatt's car firing multiple shots at him. Some of the shooting was caught on security cameras near the gas station.
