New Chinese Restaurant Set to Open in Shreveport
SHREVEPORT, LA - A new restaurant will soon be opening up in the Shreve City area in Shreveport. Folks wondered why Wendy's would build a new store just a block away from an existing location in the shopping complex. We also wondered what would happen with the old location.
What's the Plan for the Old Wendy's Location?
A sign has gone up on the old Wendy's location promoting a new venture set to open up. The sign says "Peking Chinese Food". I have seen some crews doing a bit of cleaning up and I assume remodeling will be happening before the doors can open for business.
This looks to be the same logo used by the Peking Chinese Restaurant which is quite a success in Nacogdoches, Texas

That restaurant was opened in 1993. The owners say they are "committed to providing the Best Quality and Healthiest Chinese Food in Town." The website says "every dish is prepared by using the freshest and highest quality ingredients."
Peking says customers can request the use of 100% pure Olive Oil instead of vegetable oil for free.
Peking is prepared to welcome diners inside the restaurant or you can place and order and drive thru to pick it up. They are pledging to offer great food and fast service.
The business has received a Certificate of Occupancy and is on track to open as soon as remodeling and staffing is complete.
Peking will offer many of the standard foods you would find at a Chinese restaurant:
Orange peel beef
Kung Pao Chicken
House fried rice
Shrimp noodle soup
Pot stickers
General Sao's chicken
Egg rolls
Steamed dumplings and much more.
We don't yet know when the doors will be open at Peking. The owners are currently trying to hire staff and get the building ready for reopening.
