SHREVEPORT, LA - A cold blast of winter is roaring across the nation. This weather system has thrown northwest Louisiana into the deep freeze.

The temperature in Shreveport dipped below freezing on Monday morning and we are expected to see overnight temps in the 20's each night this week. There is no winter precip in the forecast until Thursday.

Richard Lewelling with the Weather Channel says we could be seeing an ice storm. He says this could be significant event coming in Thursday evening into Friday morning.
