Guns & Drugs Found During Shreveport Traffic Stop
SHREVEPORT, LA- Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest for Firearm and Narcotics
On January 9, 2025, at approximately 12:46 AM, Shreveport Police Department officers conducting tactical patrols executed a lawful traffic stop at the intersection of Lunn Drive and Hilry Huckaby Avenue. The stop was conducted without incident.
Officers made contact with the driver, identified as Lerosa Bryant. While retrieving paperwork from his glove box, officers observed a clear plastic baggie containing a green leafy substance, suspected to be marijuana, in plain view.
A subsequent search of the vehicle, conducted incident to arrest, revealed a pistol concealed inside a closed console within the vehicle’s dashboard. The firearm was seized and will be destroyed in accordance with department policy.
Bryant was arrested and charged with the following:
- Illegal Carrying of a Firearm
- Possession of Narcotics
