Shreveport Comic Con: Geek’d Con’s 10th Anniversary Brings Iconic Anniversaries to Louisiana

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, returns for the 10th anniversary of the event this August in Downtown Shreveport. The event will take place at the Shreveport Convention Center August 22nd-24th. It will be 3 days full of fun and excitement for the whole family.

Experience Geek'd Con: What to Expect in Shreveport

Geek'd Con has spent a decade developing into one of the biggest 'comic con' style events in Louisiana. The event can be broken into multiple different parts. You get to have 'meet and greet' opportunities with celebrities for some once-in-a-lifetime moments. There's also shopping from hundreds of vendor spaces full of collectibles, custom art, toys, vintage comics, and more. You can also enjoy panel discussions where stars answer questions and tell stories about their work. But one of the coolest things to see is the cosplay that fans will wear all weekend.

Anniversary Extravaganza: Special Guests and Reunions at Geek'd Con

This year's 10th anniversary celebration has multiple guests that have their own anniversary celebrations this year. Making a "theme of anniversaries" if you will. The lineup will be full of cast meet-ups, like with the cast of Charmed. You will be able to meet 4 of the main cast members from the series; Rose McGowan, Brian Krause, and Dorian Gregory.

Looking at the whole guest lineup, you will find some incredible anniversaries being celebrated at Geek'd Con's own 10th anniversary show. Check out this list:

• Shell-a-Bration: Commemorating the 35th anniversary of the original 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. Four of the movie's original actors—Brian Tochi, Robbie Rist, Kenn Scott, and Ernie Reyes, Jr.—will be in attendance.
• Mallrats Cast: The film Mallrats was released 30 years ago in 1995, Geek'd Con will host stars Jason Lee, Jeremy London, and Ethan Suplee.
• My Name is Earl Stars: Actors Jason Lee and Ethan Suplee portrayed Earl and Randy Hickey in the popular TV series My Name is Earl. The show is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
• The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Join Barry Bostwick as we celebrate the movie's 50th anniversary.
• Mortal Kombat: Sub-Zero and Scorpion from the 1995 movie, Francois Petit and Chris Cassamassa will be at the show. The movie is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
• Doctor Who: John Barrowman is celebrating 20 years of Captain Jack Harkness this year! Captain Jack made his debut in the 2005 Doctor Who episode "The Empty Child" and continued through the remaining episodes of the first season.
• The Flash: John Wesley Shipp appeared as the titular character in The Flash in the original 1990 TV Series. That show is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.
