
Caddo Correctional Center Booking Photos Sept. 27th-Oct. 3
This week, 78 people were booked and kept at Caddo Correctional Center for various crimes.
One of those booked was arrested following Shreveport's 30th homicide.
Shreveport police responded to several calls about gun shots in the Highland neighborhood on Monday night. The calls came in at about 11:30 p.m..
When Shreveport patrol officers pulled up onto the scene at Egan Street and Gilbert Street they found a car with several bullet holes. Inside the vehicle, officers discovered 55-year-old Gerald Damon Washington, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The officers pulled Washington from the car and started life-saving efforts. But despite this quick action, Washington did not survive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives began fanning out in the neighborhood to gather clues and any evidence in this case. Based on the information gathered at the scene, officers were able to identify a suspect.
27-year-old Eric Sullivan Jr. was named as the alleged gunman. He was arrested and charged with one count of second degree murder. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
No word yet on any possible motive in this killing.
The killing of Gerald Damon Washington is the 30th homicide this year in Shreveport and is the 35th in Caddo Parish for 2025.
These four were booked on separate domestic violence charges.
Shreveport Police is still working hard to deal with Shreveport's fastest growing crime, domestic violence.
Over the past several days, multiple arrests have been made in separate domestic violence cases.
· Jared Dickson (DOB 4/18/1978) was arrested on September 28, 2025, for Domestic Abuse – Child Endangerment.

· Jessica McGhee (DOB 1/15/1994) was arrested on September 30, 2025, for Domestic Abuse Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

· Michael Phillips (DOB 7/12/1974) was arrested on September 29, 2025, for Simple Battery of a Dating Partner.

· Jequay Stevenson (DOB 5/14/1989) was arrested on September 28, 2025, for Battery of a Dating Partner and Aggravated Battery of a Dating Partner.

Domestic violence is a serious issue in this city, and the impact is detrimental to entire families. SPD is committed to holding offenders accountable and giving victims access to the help they need.
