Bossier City Police Shoots Man During Tense Standoff
Earlier this week, Bossier Police got a call to the Villagio Apartments on Venecia to a domestic disturbance.
When BCPD showed up to the scene, the woman in the situation was able to get out of the apartment with her small child and escape the dangerous situation. The suspect, now identified as Noah Peters, then barricaded himself in the apartment and was armed. The Bossier City Police Negotiations Team was brought on to the scene to help try and get him out of the apartment safely.
While negotiations were going on, something happened that caused Officers from BCPD to fire on Peters. Peters was injured in the shooting, and was taken to Ochsner LSU Health Center to be treated. Peters Injuries were considered non-life threatening, and he is expected to pull-through.
No other information on charges, or the possible condition of the victim has been released because the entire case has been taken over by Louisiana State Police for investigation. More information will be added to this article as it comes in.
