A.I. is Absolutely Coming to Replace These Louisiana Jobs
How is A.I. Going to Take Over?
The artificial intelligence (or A.I.) program called ChatGPT seemed like just a shiny new toy for many people when it debuted. They asked it stupid questions, or had pointless conversations with it, while some in the dark corners of the web tested its limits on racism and fascism.
But what many of them didn't know was that every one of those interactions wasn't isolated. Each time ChatGPT was used, it was learning. The system took the question in, the answer, and the response...and learned from all of it. This level of A.I. took less than 2 years to learn how to start replacing the jobs of those who used it to play around.
By June of 2023, the Washington Post was already reporting on large groups of people who had their jobs eliminated due to A.I. replacement. At that point, A.I. replacement was already being referred to as a "crisis point". Now, over a year later, not much as been done at all.
In fact, the only guardrails against A.I. replacement have come from union strikes. There hasn't been any major legislation in the United States to help protect people from the machines. Currently, the European Union and Canada are leading the world in regulations to create boundaries between human jobs and A.I. The US has been much slower in any implementation. For the most part, the US government has farmed out A.I. regulation to unelected officials in different departments of the government. Resulting in pure dysfunction.
