5 Women and 8 Men Arrested In Angelina County

Though men are much more likely to be incarcerated than women, at least in Angelina County, women's numbers are growing faster than men's.

Drug offenses are a major factor in these changes. Three of the women out of the 5 were arrested on felony-level drug charges.

This is a second-degree felony charge, and in Texas it is punishable by a minimum of two years in prison and a maximum of 20 years of confinement in the Texas Department Of Criminal Justice - Institutional Division.
