A former Airline golfer and Collegiate All-American at Alabama has won the Louisiana Women’s Golf Association Amateur Championship at Squire Creek near Ruston.

Sarah Johnston Davison, A Benton native and the 2009 Louisiana state Women's Amateur Champion, won the match play championship 2 up over LSU golfer Elise Bradley.

Davison had twins following her 2009 Amateur Championship and decided to dust off the clubs for this year's match play tournament.

Davison was consistent over her four match play wins despite having played only "about a dozen rounds" over the last two years.

Davison, who now lives on the second hole at Squire Creek, managed a hole-in-one on the fifth hole of the Championship match.
