You can learn a lesson from New Orleans native and future HOFer Ed Reed.  The lesson is, DON'T LEAVE A BAG OF MONEY SITTING ON THE FRONT SEAT OF YOUR CAR.

Ed Reed, who still has a home in Houston despite being released by the Texans mid-season, was doing some banking in the Houston area on Wednesday when his 2006 Audi was broken into.

Reed had just withdrawn $50,000 from one bank and was taking it to another.  For some reason, Reed left the bag of money in his front seat when he entered the bank.  Someone broke his passenger side window and took the bag of cash.

A local Houston TV station first reported the incident.

Reed only played seven games for the Texans before being released and eventually signed by the New York Jets.  The 35 year old says he would like to continue playing for Rex Ryan and the Jets.
