At this point, it might be more productive (and would probably take less time) to list all the Marvel stars that won’t be in Avengers: Infinity War. If you thought Captain America: Civil War (so much WAR) was stacked with talent, the third Avengers film is primed to blow that number out of the water with the biggest super-ensemble yet. And today brings yet another name into the fold as The Walking Dead star and MCU newcomer Danai Gurira has joined the roster.

Deadline reports that Gurira will appear in Avengers: Infinity War after making her big screen Marvel debut in next year’s Black Panther, in which she plays Okoye — a member of the Dora Milaje, the group of badass women charged with guarding the king of Wakanda. Gurira briefly appears (but doesn’t speak) in the first trailer a couple of times: We see her early on with Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa watching Martin Freeman’s Everett Ross as he questions Andy Serkis’ Ulysses Klaue, and again later, putting those sick Michonne sword skills to use in a red Dora Milaje dress.

It’s probably not much of a spoiler to reveal that Gurira’s Okoye (presumably) survives the events of Black Panther, which features Michael B. Jordan as the villain Killmonger (that name, though!). Jordan reunites with Creed director Ryan Coogler for Black Panther, which also stars Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett and many, many more talented names. That film hits theaters on February 16, 2018.

Avengers: Infinity War, which stars pretty much everyone in the MCU apparently, arrives shortly after on May 4, 2018.
