Byrd Yellow Jackets vs. Panthers Panthers Tonight at 7P.M. ON 1130 The Tiger

The Byrd Yellow Jackets continue with District 1-5A play tonight as they face yet another undefeated opponent, the Parkway Panthers.

This is the 29th time Byrd and Parkway have met, and the Yellow Jackets lead this series 17-11. Byrd has defeated Parkway seven in a row and 10 of the last 11 including last year's 52-21 victory in Bossier City.

This series started with a 28-12 win for Byrd in 1970, the first of three straight for the Yellow Jackets before Parkway claimed its first victory, 13-0 in 1977.

The Yellow Jackets and Panthers have met 18 times in season openers and Byrd holds the lead, 10-8.
