Howard's birthplace is Knoxville, Tennessee...just about 4 hours east of Music City. By the time he was 6, Shreveport was "home" and has been ever since. Many mornings, he'd wake up to the sound of country music coming from his parents' clock radio and the singular salutation of "Hello world, doggone ya!", recorded by KWKH original licensee W.K. Henderon. He lived 6 years in Monroe, earned a Broadcasting Degree from then Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM) and cut his first set of radio chops on former Louisiana governor Jimmy Noe's 540 KNOE. When he returned to Shreveport, he had the opportunity to work with legends the like of Larry Ryan, Frank Page and Larry Scott.
