A spokesman for joint base San Antonio-Lackland says military-issued and personal firearms are heavily restricted on the base and that it's not clear whether a gunman involved in a murder-suicide was authorized to have a weapon.

Officials with Bossier Parish Community College and LSU-Baton Rouge have signed an articulation agreement between the two schools.
