The LSU Tigers can advance to the College World Series in Omaha, if they can defeat the Sooners on Saturday night.

To describe this game in short, it was a pitcher's duel.

LSU's Aaron Nola took to the bump to square off against Oklahoma's Johnathan Gray. Gray, was earlier drafted as the No. 3 pick by the Colorado Rockies in Thursday's Major League Baseball draft.

Gray (10-3) who takes the loss, gave up five hits and two runs in the bottom of the eight inning.

One of those hits included an eight inning triple by JaCoby Jones. The very next batter, Tyler Moore, sends Jones home. That would make the score 1-0.

Two batters later, Mark Laird singled to right to allow Jared Foster to reach home plate. Foster was the pinch runner for Tyler Moore.

The score would then be 2-0.

Aaron Nola went the distance and pitched a complete game shut out. LSU's victory on Friday night allows the Tigers to have the opportunity to advance to the College World Series in Omaha, following another win over the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday night.
