Yelp’s Annual Top 100 Places to Eat in 2017 Features Several Texas Joints, Including Top Spot
This list could easily be a 2017 Bucket List with many places not too far from the Ark-La-Tex.
It’s only the fourth year that Yelp has put out their list of the Top 100 Places to Eat. Each year, 100 restaurants all across the country are deemed the best places to eat in that calendar year. The goal is to connect people with local places to eat whether they dine in using Yelp’s reservation services or order in, again using Yelp with their delivery services.
Many of the restaurants featured also have five-star ratings on their website.
Yelp also boasts that the restaurants are typically small, like food trucks and hole-in-the-wall favorites. This year, the top spot belongs to Tony’s Italian Delicatessen in Montgomery, Texas. It may be a few hours from here, but if it’s that good, I say let’s take a road trip.
Here are some other Yelp favorites that could easily be enjoyed during a weekend road trip or on your next little getaway:
1. Tony’s Italian Delicatessen – Montgomery, Texas
18. Boteca – Austin, Texas
21. Tommy Tamale Market & Cafe – Grapevine, Texas
49. The House of Gyros – Mesquite, Texas
60. Le’ Pam’s House of Creole – Houston, Texas
89. Las Tortas Perronas – Houston, Texas
