I have been a fan of the X-Games since I was a kid. Back in the day, I messed around on snowmobiles in Northern Michigan, had my own BMX bike, and tried to pull off a homemade Jackass video...I was the perfect mark for the X-Games.

Getting a chance to sit down with a guy that I've watched win X-Games gold was a pretty sweet opportunity. Mike Mason owns 4 X-Games gold medals, and has piles of silver and bronze too. He's on the road this summer with Nitro Circus, who will be kicking off their summer of shows in Shreveport at Independence Stadium.

One of the things I really wanted to get from Mike was the level of danger that he faces with Nitro Circus. Obviously, like with any extreme sport, there's a high level of danger. But with Nitro Circus, it's more of a show, these are tricks the guys have been working on for years, but I still wanted to know if he feels the danger. In the video, Mike lets us know that it's more dangerous to party with Miley Cyrus or attend a Donald Trump rally than for him to pull off his high-flying tricks.

Mike describes Nitro Circus very well in the above video, but just in case you're more of a visual learner, here's a teaser
