New Orleans Saints guard Jahri Evans is sorry that it took this long for New Orleans to start looking like the playoff contender it has been before. Last Sunday the Saints played their best game of the season in a 41-0 victory over Tampa Bay.

Jahri Evans said, "We knew the talent we had in the locker room and definitely displayed on Sunday. We wish could have done that a little bit earlier in the season".

"You definitely saw a glimpse of what we were trying to do going into the season and what we knew we had in this locker room and hopefully we can keep it going, finish strong and take it into next year," he added.

The New Orleans Saints will still be in the running for the last NFC wild card berth when they face the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday. What must happen for the saints to make the playoffs?

If the Saints are to make the playoffs they must win their last two games, those being the Cowboys this Sunday and Carolina December 30.

Here are a few more things that must happen. The Cowboys need to lose their last game to Washington, St. Louis needs to lose one of its last two games, plus the final two games of these teams need to be lost, Minnesota, Chicago and the New York Giants.

If all this happens, the Saints will finish the season with a five-way tie at 8-8 and make it into the playoffs. This will be based on a series of tiebreakers.
