As Tropical Storm Isaac makes a path through the Gulf of Mexico, it continues to gain strength. The path is very much the same as Hurricane Katrina almost seven years ago.

Isaac could make landfall as a Category 1 hurricane by early Tuesday. This morning, the center of the storm was 310 miles southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River and moving at about 14 miles per hour.

The National Hurricane Center is predicting that Isaac will become a hurricane with winds from 74 and 95 mph over the warm water, then hit along a 300 mile area stretching from the bayous southwest of New Orleans to the edge of the Florida Panhandle.
