The reborn Shreveport Mudbugs, in their second year in the NAHL junior league, will be challenging the Minot Minotauros tonight for their first ever Robertson Cup Championship. It has been a long, hard season....with lots of ups, lots of downs, and lots of injuries. But, in the end, the Bugs persevered and have made it to the championship game. You might even say the Bugs have had a "flair for gold" this year.

While most of us can't be in Minnesota tonight to support our home team on their championship drive, there are still plenty of chances and opportunities to watch the game. The team has set up several official watch parties for this evening. Both of the Buffalo Wild Wings in town (Shreveport and Bossier) will be showing the game. Larry's Pizza in Shreveport will also be showing the game.

If you don't feel like venturing out this evening, you can watch the game from the comfort of your own home on HockeyTV. No matter how or where you watch the game, keep the boys in your thoughts and send them some positive vibes as these young men will be playing in the biggest game of their young careers.

And win, lose or draw, there will be a End of Year/Farewell Party for the returning Bugs Wednesday evening at George's Pond. Not only will the team be sending off the senior members of the club with a fond farewell as they go off to start their college playing careers, but there will also be one final jersey auction, music, food, drinks and the whole nine. You can find more details on that on the Mudbugs Facebook page.
