I heard someone recently talk about their child, who is attending LSU, talk about the mood on campus in Baton Rouge. As most LSU fans know, the performance of the football program immediately translates to the morale of the student body.

And the conversation I heard, said everyone on campus is feeling good.

Ever since Coach Ed Orgeron took over the team, LSU's football program has been playing on a different level. So what are the prospects of Coach O keeping that position after the season? Well, LSU's next game could have a lot to do with it. Here's the scenario from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"A win for LSU on November 5th against top ranked Alabama and the Tigers will improve to 4-0 under Head Coach Ed Orgeron.

It would also make it difficult for Athletic Director Joe Alleva not to keep Orgeron as the Tigers head coach. Coach O says he would love to have the job on a permanent basis, but he can’t let that consume him right now.

Bama is listed as a 10 point favorite."
