As we get closer and closer to football season, there's more and more people talking about the season.

Which for folks in Louisiana, that usually means a lot of LSU talk, and this year is no different. But, there's more than just LSU to talk about this year. Of course LSU has a ton to look forward to this year, and Louisiana Tech is building something special in Ruston, but look at what UL-Lafayette is doing.

After three straight bowl wins, ULL had a rough 2015. But they're looking to get back to their winning ways, and if they're going to do that, it's going to be on the back of running back Elijah McGuire.

The ULL football program aren't the only ones who know this. Here's more from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Ragin Cajuns running back Elijah McGuire is one of 43 players on the Watch List for the Paul Hornung Award, which goes to college football’s most versatile player. The Houma native is the only active NCAA player with three-thousand yards rushing and one-thousand yards receiving."
