MONROE, La. – The ULM football program kicked off fall practice on Thursday as the program officially began preparations for the 2015 season. The Warhawks practiced in just jerseys and helmets and will do so tomorrow, before moving to shells on Saturday.

During the morning session, the coaching staff worked with the group of newcomers as the incoming rookies completed their first practice in a Warhawk uniform. During the 95-minute practice session, the newcomers were put through numerous drills, including some that moved them to various positions on both sides of the ball.

In the afternoon the veteran group of Warhawks completed a two-hour practice. Despite the heat, the Warhawks turned in a strong practice as the veterans went through their first practice of 2015.

The Warhawks will split into Maroon (9:15 a.m. – 11:10 a.m) and Gold (4:30 p.m. – 6:25 p.m.) groups as they continue to work toward coming together for the first full team practice on Sunday afternoon.
