Tornado Watch in Effect Until 5pm Monday

A tornado watch is in effect for much of the Arklatex until 5pm Monday.

In Louisiana, this includes Caddo and Bossier Parishes along with Bienville, Claiborne, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine and Webster Parishes. Several parishes in North Central Louisiana are also included in the watch.

In Arkansas, the watch includes 3 counties: Union, Columbia and Lafayette.

In Northeast Texas, the watch includes Shelby, Harrison, Panola, Sabine, San Augustine and Marion Counties.

Accuweather.com says severe thunderstorms will roll through parts of the South over the next several days bringing a threat of damaging winds and a few tornadoes.
