It started less than two weeks ago in the U.S. on the west coast, and has spread eastward at an alarming rate.

How did a shortage of toilet paper ever get started and spread so fast in the first place?

The answer: Supply and Demand!

Let's face it, there are fewer big trucks hauling wood on the highway today because the price of gasoline is sky high.  Fewer wood trucks on the road means less wood delivered to the paper factories, therefore not enough toilet paper for the consumer.

Reports are coming in about people waiting in extremely long lines for hours at some of the largest grocery outlets in America, only to find the shelves are whipped clean once they finally get inside, no toilet paper to be found within fifty miles.

Locally, we are beginning to see empty shelves in Shreveport, Bossier City, Minden, Mansfield and Coushatta. A spokesperson in east Texas said they had the same situation just yesterday in Longview and Tyler.

What do we do now?

Are the shelves empty of toilet paper in the store where you shop most often, or does there seem to be a pretty good supply? I would like to pass this information on to people who might be in desperate need.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to send a bunch of people over there that might buy more toilet paper than they need and cut YOU short.  I'm just trying to help everybody out in a bad situation here, because it's going to get worse.
