Tim Fletcher: Skip Holtz Names La Tech’s Starting QB

Today in Boca Raton, Florida, Conference USA stages it's football media day.  Western Kentucky has been tabbed the favorite to wrestle the CUSA East division title away from Marshall, while Skip Holtz's Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are the pick to repeat as the best in the west.

Florida transfer Jeff Driskel is one of the players accompanying Holtz on the trip, which was a pretty clear indication the former 5-star recruit would get the start in week one.

Holtz eliminated any doubt when he told Gannett Louisiana's Sean Isabella that Driskel would indeed be first team QB when the Dogs host Southern University on September 5th.
