Among several New Orleans Saints given their walking papers Tuesday were wide receiver Nick Toon and defensive back Vinny Sunseri.

NFL teams had to cut their roster down to 75 players with the final cut to the regular season limit of 53 players set to take place after the final preseason games this weekend.

At least one position on the final roster remains a tight race. Dustin Hopkins and Zach Hocker's duel for the placekicking gig is too close to call according to head coach Sean Payton, “I think it is close. It will be an important game for those guys. Those two are battling. It was one of the reasons today that we had a kicking drill. We got 10 kicks in today."
