The Rangers kept the pedal to the medal with a 14-3 win over Houston Wednesday night, opening a game-and-a-half lead over the Astros in the American League West.

The reeling Astros have dropped three straight to Texas to fall from first place and now are holding on for dear life to a one-game lead in the Wild Card standings.  Prince Fielder hit two homers as part of the Rangers season-best five creamed tater explosion.
