The Rangers continue chugging toward a division title.  Last night, Texas powered past Oakland 10-3 with Elvis Andrus and Adrian Beltre each cranking out three-run homers.

Rougned Odor also joined the Tater Fest to back up a solid pitching effort from Colby Lewis.  Texas opened a three-game lead over Houston with the win, coupled with the Astros loss.

Houston lost 6-5 at home to the Angels. David Freese hit a two-run double in the top of the 8th inning to push the halo's in front of Houston. Not only did the loss drop Houston further behind Texas in the division race, the Angels are now within a game-and-a-half of Houston for the second wild-card with nine games to play.
